9 Movie Bloopers You Didn’t Spot In The Final Cut

4. A Car Drives By - Braveheart

Fox

Braveheart made cinematic idols of Mel Gibson's band of blue-painted warriors, but its historical accuracy has always been in disputed, especially that scene where the car drives by.

During the scene where the English are charging at the Scots on horseback and Gibson's William Wallace is repeatedly telling his men to "hold", a white vehicle can be glimpsed in the background for a fleeting second, seriously compromising the movie's period setting.

To be fair, this is blink-and-you-miss-it stuff, plus the depiction of motor vehicles in the 13th Century is no less controversial than some of the other changes Braveheart made to history.
