9 Ridiculous Upcoming Cinematic Universes

8. The Hasbro Shared Universe

Hasbro has had a weird time with the G.I. Joe movie series thus far; sure, both movies have been successful, but they also really suck. Even former leading man Channing Tatum said so, which is why his character met an early demise in the sequel.

Still, there’s money to be made so Hasbro also set up a writer’s room of their own (again headed by creative genius Akiva Goldsman) to brainstorm a shared universe for G.I. Joe and it’s many other properties. So if anybody out there is clamouring for movies based on obscure titles like Micronauts, M.A.S.K, Rom or Visionaries: Knights Of The Magical Light, then this will be music to your ears.

This universe is still in the planning stages, and at this point, it isn’t even known if G.I. Joe will be completely rebooted or follow on from the last movie, Retaliation. The producers have also hinted/threatened about a crossover between G.I, Joe and Transformers in the past, and this will almost certainly happen now thanks to the writer's room connection between the franchises.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
