9 Un-Orthodox Christmas Movies To Liven Up Your Holiday

Add some spice to your sugary holiday season!

The holiday season is upon us once again. It's brought with it all of its usual trappings, such as rushing to the mall in search of gifts, decorating our homes, and listening to Christmas music until New Year's Eve. Most importantly, however, it's the season for dusting off all those holiday-perennial movies that we only pull down during the holiday season. There's nothing wrong with this. In fact, Christmas wouldn't feel like Christmas without watching movies like Miracle On 34th Street, It's A Wonderful Life, and A Christmas Story. In fact, most of those movies are well-made, to boot. However, after a heavy dose of the sugary-sweetness of most Christmas media, watching one of these perennials can get to be wearing, regardless of how good they are. At times like these, what can we do to keep our holiday spirit alive? The only thing we can do is to watch an un-orthodox Christmas film. These are the films that don't necessarily don't have plots that revolve around the holidays, but have a holiday backdrop that help us feel good about the season. In this article, we'll look at nine un-orthodox movies that are sure to add some spice to your holiday season.
