9. James Corden - Ocean's 8

Many groaned when James Corden first showed up in the trailers for Ocean's 8, because he just seemed like such a forced fit in a movie that's supposed to be all about its female ensemble.

But when the reviews turned out predominantly positive it seemed like maybe, just maybe, those initial trailer impressions were a little hasty, right?

Wrong. The Brit comedian's role as a fraud investigator is at least mercifully brief, but his flat, charmless performance just drags down the movie for a time, even if he's sensibly paired with either Sandra Bullock or Anne Hathaway for most of it.

Corden fatigue is definitely part of the problem here: he's everywhere these days and it's pretty annoying. Even on the pure merits of his acting, though, he came across as wildly miscast.
