Adrien Brody & Renko Kikuchi join Brick helmer's Bloom

Adrien_Brody_i_The_Jac_942c.jpgIt's been almost four months since we have had any news to report on Rian Johnson's follow up to his critically acclaimed Indie debut Brick. Back in October, the news was that Rachel Wesiz had signed up for the movie and today we have learned that she will be joined by the awesome Adrien Brody. Brody will be playing the younger half of a conman team who ends up falling in love with their mysterious target.... an eccentric billionaire played by Rachel Wesiz. Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi who received an Best Supporting Actress nomination for Babel has also signed up for the flick. She will be playing the brothers partner in crime who "may be hiding secrets of her own". One more big casting decision still to come and that's the role of the older conman brother. I've only recently seen Brick and for a first time writer/director it was extremely impressive. It's obviously impressed Endgame Entertainment who have no doubt pulled out all the stops to get Weisz, Brody and Kikuchi to star in their independent film. source - coming soon, variety
