The Amazing Spider-Man: 10 Spidey Movies That Must Be Made Next

10. The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (2016)

Three of the Spider-Man brain trust - Kurtzman, Orci and Pinkner - are already writing the screenplay for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, with Marc Webb once more directing, with the intention set on release on June 10th, 2016. The film will no doubt take up the unresolved plot lines left over from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, with the possible (probable, in fact) death of Gwen Stacy forming a narrative centre-piece to Peter Parker's continued development as a character. Comic Book Reference Point: €œA Death In The Family" The familiarly named story, which came some 6 years after the classic Batman arc of the same name would offer the opportunity to explore a couple of storylines that are likely to be established, or at least hinted at in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Though it's unclear whether Norman Osborn is going to be alive at the end of the sequel, it would be sacrilege to kill him without allowing him to put on a Green Goblin costume, and there are hints that he will survive thanks to the technology developed covertly by Parker's scientist parents. That could pave the way for the arc in which Osborn unsuccessfully attempts to make Parker his heir, but more importantly in which he uses Flash Thompson as a pawn in his attempt to destroy Parker's life, before he appears on TV to blame Spidey for Gwen Stacy's death. In the same arc, Aunt May confesses to Parker that she has known for some time that he is Spider-Man, adding some of that good old fashioned familial drama to the pot. Osborn should of course end up behind bars.
