Amber Tamblyn to suffer a "Blackout"

images635811_Amber_Tamblyn2.jpgAmber Tamblyn the lead star of Joan of Arcadia has signed on for a role in the indie thriller Blackout. The movie is based around three people who are trapped in an hospital elevator for almost 24 hours. Tamblyn will play one of the three trapped who was on her way to visit her dying grandmother who is apparentaly only moments away from death. The problems don't just end there though as a psycho killer doctor is also working in the hospital, to be played by Aidan Gillen. I do like the idea of a situation horror. Like Duel or Saw (movie sucked, but concept), I love the idea of a movie that grabs you straight away with a deadly situation and you think along with the characters of what you would do to survive if it happened to you. Actually I would probably have some sort of panic attack, I hate elevators and try to avoid them whenever I can. I wouldn't say I had a phobia because I can travel in them and be fine but if I see the stairs I will always take that option. source - the hollywood reporter, coming soon
