Ant-Man's New Poster Reveals An Interesting New Gadget

Just how does he ride those ants?

What is it with Marvel and phoned-in photoshopped posters? Their last one-sheet for Ant-Man looked great - seemingly drawn, it invoked the original poster for Iron Man and thus had a nice classicism to it (even if that movie is only seven years old) - but this new one is a bit of a cartoon-y mess, in execution terms at least, bringing back unwanted memories of that final Age Of Ultron one. But let's not get hung up on things like aesthetic worth - the title has the Marvel logo above it so the movie's all but guaranteed to be a hit. Instead, let's focus on the new element of Scott Lang's arsenal that's getting to make its proper bow here. Thus far, all material of Paul Rudd's new Marvel hero riding his controlled namesakes have shown him bareback, but here he's seen utilising a saddle, or at the very least some handles to hold on to as he flies through that barrage of improbably close, Matrix-inspired bullets. On the back of that Thomas the Tank Engine moment, you have to hope that the film includes a scene of Rudd humorously struggling to get his new gadget on his miniature steed. Check out the full poster in all its glory below. Ant-Man is out on July 17th worldwide (making it the first Marvel movie in years to not have an advanced UK release).
Like the poster? What are your hopes for the film? Discuss it all down in the comments.
