Assassin's Creed Set Photos Show Michael Fassbender In Costume

He looks like he's having a great time.

http://imgur.com/a/ndSR2 Some brazen Imgurian has decided to unleash a host of non-spoilery set photos from the Almeria, Spain shoot of Assassin's Creed, featuring a good look at Michael Fassbender in full assassin regalia. Witness as he strolls about like a hooded badass! Marvel as he laughs and jokes with the crew! There's really not much to go on here, other than some glimpses of the environment Fassbender finds himself assassinating in. For those who are unfamiliar with the storyline, the plot follows a modern-day man named Callum Lynch (Fassbender) who uses advanced technology to tap into the memories of his long-ago ancestor Aguilar (also Fassbender) who is revealed to be a member of a secret order of assassins. One can only assume Callum will fight the same enemies his ancestor fought back in the 15th Century. Although some will be quick to write off this adaptation of the popular video game, being that video game adaps are generally abysmal in quality, I think everyone should take a step back and appreciate the pedigree of talent involved here. Director Justin Kurzel's take on Macbeth (in which Fassbender also appeared in the title role) was absolutely gorgeous, packed to the brim with ethereal imagery and a grimy, authentic feel to the Shakespeare adaptation's period setting. If the man can do Shakespeare that well, then adapting a video game should be no cause for concern; and if Fassbender can bring an ounce of the gravitas he brought to Macbeth to this film, then fans should have nothing to worry about. Assassin's Creed is released on 21 December 2016 in the USA and 30 December 2016 in the UK.
