Avengers 4: Russos Says There AREN'T Any Fake Scenes

They're too tired for this sh*t.

Not so long ago, the Internet was awash with speculation that some of the scenes filmed for Avengers 4 were actually fake and intended as misdirection to help protect the film's secrets. It all apparently hinged on the fact that Samuel L Jackson was spotted on set being filmed with two eyes, instead of one, which is enough these days to kick off any huge conspiracy theory.

Anyway, it seems that we all might have been looking too hard for secrets, as the directors of Avengers: Infinity War and its follow up have poured scorn on the stories. They sat down with MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast to tease the films and talk about the filming process and when the issue of spoilers came up, they talked about filming fake scenes to throw paparazzi off the scent. According to them, it's not a thing:

“We’re too tired to shoot anything that’s not going in the movie.”

WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT SOMEONE WITH A BIG SECRET WOULD SAY, ISN'T IT?!

Perhaps they're being honest though - having two huge movies to shoot back to back (and with overlap in some places thanks to reshoots and additional photography) is enough of a headache without needing to keep track of what fake shots are on the slate as well. If they were doing that, they'd be gluttons for punishment.

WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY'D WANT US TO THINK IF THEY WERE DOING IT...

Who knows if it's true? Unlike Avengers 4, we don't have any access to time travel, so we'll just have to wait until the film comes out to see for certain how many eyes Nick Fury has at all times.
