Avengers 4: Thanos Subreddit Bans Half Of Its Users To Achieve "Perfect Balance"

But those sacrificed can still chill in the Soul Stone.

Although Thanos is easily the MCU's biggest bad yet, succeeding in his plan to wipe out half of the known universe with the snap of his fingers, he's one of the franchise's few villains to have a detailed explanation for why he's doing what he's doing. Convinced that removing half the population from the equation in a "fair" random lottery would allow the other half to prosper, the villain's plan isn't exactly rational but you can argue he was at least trying to do the right thing in his own twisted way - and for many that was enough to throw their support behind the Mad Titan.

The ThanosDidNothingWrong subreddit has been dedicated to supporting (usually through memes) Thanos' quest ever since Infinity War released, but now they're ratcheting things up a notch by banning half their users in the pursuit of "perfect balance". With over 100,000 members primed to be randomly "saved" by the Mad Titan and removed from the sub as of July 9th, the remaining members will have to deal with not being chosen as a sacrifice.

Fortunately, those who do receive (and adhere to) the ban can visit either r/SouldWorld or r/InTheSoulStone with others who are also lucky enough to be saved, riffing on the theory that the casualties of Thanos' snap in Infinity War aren't dead per se, but doomed to languish inside the Soul Stone itself.

So dread it, run from it, because whatever happens, if you're part of the subreddit, you could be one of the thousands receiving a ban come the 9th.
