Avengers: Age Of Ultron's UK Release Moved Closer

Brits to get Marvel's epic one day sooner than expected.

It's been a pattern since at least Iron Man 2 that Marvel Studios movies will get their UK release ahead of the US. Looking at the schedule for the next few years, they'll be keeping this up almost of the time, with just a few films released in the same week on each side of the pond. But even in those close-call cases I think the UK will get the movie first. We've got a way of releasing some bigger films on Thursdays here in the British isles that hasn't, not yet at least, caught on with our American cousins. The latest film to go for that four day weekend, and the extra boost to the box office reports that it brings, is The Avengers: Age of Ultron. As tweeted out by Marvel themselves, the film will now release on April 23rd and not 24th. https://twitter.com/MarvelUK/status/562637531691638785 The US release is still set for May 1st, giving us Limeys a clear eight days where the films is ours, all ours! Except... well, okay, not all ours at all. Our friends in France, Norway, Korea, Sweden and Italy will all get the film one more day ahead of the states, on April 22nd. Now excuse me while I go have a look at what the price of a chunnel train ticket is these days.
