Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 10 Incredibly Disturbing Comic Moments That Won't Be In The Film

Once upon a time, Blob ate Wasp... Wait, what?

The past decade's worth of superhero films have ushered in an age that many comic book fans never dreamed would arrive. It is no longer a wild or unfounded and impossible dream to hope that your favorite comic book moments would be adapted into film or in some cases television series. There is a catch, however. When comics, like novels and plays, are made into films changes have to be made. So are for the better, some for the worse, and generally the rationale comes from two distinctly understandable camps. One problem is that certain story elements are simply too fantastical for film, though this is becoming less and less an issue with modern special effects technology, the scale of comics still far outpaces that of film and television. The other is legitimacy to the general audience. Some stories or ideas are either too complicated or too weird, requiring too much explanation lest they be utterly disturbing and off-putting. All the worser, some plot points are incredibly disturbing even with proper explanation--and oftentimes these are better off being left alone, buried under a rock, and retconned out of memory. The Avengers franchise is rather full of the latter of these, and with a highly lucrative movie franchise underway fans can be more than certain that certain story lines and characterization pieces will be left aside. Chief among these are the many stories revolving around coupling, weddings, pregnancies, and time travel--but not exclusively so. With the Age of Ultron soon upon us, it will be no great matter to simple scratch some of these choices off of the "what if" list of adaptable moments.
