11. How Big Will Nick Fury's Role Be?

We know that Nick Fury is set to appear in Age of Ultron and we know from Samuel L. Jackson said he isn't in it for long. Jackson emphasises that, like in the battle of New York City in the first Avengers movie, Fury finds himself a little outgunned when superpowered individuals got at it against each other and this movie is no different. That said, if the Fury from the comic books is anything to go by, his brief role could still be very big in terms of its importance. In the Age of Ultron comic arc (which we know is essentially unrelated), it was Nick Fury's readiness for an attack by an evil artificial intelligence that enabled the heroes to defeat the robot. If Fury was prepared for such an event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he may well have his base in the Savage Land stocked and ready to combat Ultron. Then again, he could just briefly appear to wish the Avengers good luck. Who knows?
