There are few things that are certain in the world, as they say: death, taxes and post-credits scenes on MCU movies.

As well as Easter Eggs, cameos and interconnections to other comic book movies, the stinger has become one of the pillars of Marvel's flagship franchise. Sometimes they're throw-away gags, sometimes they've major story reveals - whatever the nature of them, the aim is to have fans believing that waiting through the credits was worth it.

With Endgame about to arrive, it's time to look forward to what the Russos might tag-on to tease the future of the MCU...

12. Cap And Peggy's Dance

Captain America's arc in the MCU might well be ending in Endgame, but that doesn't mean he has to be killed off. With time travel a possibility and Cap still a "man out of time," he has the perfect opportunity to reverse the one defining regret of his life.

Given what Cap has sacrificed for the world, it would be fitting for him to be allowed to retire in his own time. And while it would presumably be devastating for the timeline, if the pay-off is emotional enough, everyone is likely to just ignore that.

Sending Cap back to the 1940s means we could get him actually delivering on his promise of a dance with Peggy too, and there can't be too many images that would land with fans quite so well.
