Avengers: Endgame - Every Death Ranked Ranked Worst To Best

7. 2014 Thanos

As something of a revelation, there are two Thanoses in Avengers: Endgame. The first is the one who used the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out half of all living creatures at the end of Avengers: Infinity War and who is a shadow of his former self when we meet him again in the opening act.

The second is the Thanos who is alerted to the Avengers' quest to steal the Stones from the past by Nebula's confusing ability to connect to the same brain WiFi signal or something in 2014. It's he who plays the part of the major villain of Endgame as he seeks to destroy the Avengers and then the universe to "fix" it properly.

After proving himself inevitably durable and impressive in battle even without the Stones, he eventually falls after several attempts when Tony dupes him, steals the Stones and clicks his fingers. After watching his whole army fading away, Thanos does the same on a delay clearly designed for dramatic purposes. It's fitting, but far from spectacular.
