Avengers: Infinity War - LEGO Leak Suggests Spider-Man's Iron Spider Has Extra Arms

Score one for comic book accuracy...

When Peter Parker wasn't handed the red and gold Iron Spider suit in Captain America: Civil War, fans could have been forgiven for thinking that their chance to see the costume in the MCU had disappeared. But then in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tony Stark came in with the Hail Mary, offering Peter a new suit that was clearly heavily referenced by the comic book redesign he'd handed Peter as part of that seminal arc.

He might have turned it down at that point, but he will be wearing that suit in Avengers: Infinity War, as confirmed by the trailer. Still, it's not QUITE the same as the Iron Spider from the comics, as the colours are different and the mask has completely different eyes. It's just as close as we're going to get.

But now it seems that Infinity War suit might actually be closer to the comic book inspiration than initially suspected. Or at least that's the suggestion that can be gleaned from a new LEGO set leak.

As ever, someone has got their hands on the tie-in LEGO sets for Infinity War (Hansolodies365 to be specific) and the Spider-Man minifig seems to have the same extra arm augmentations that Stark fitted to the Iron Spider in the comics (known as waldoes). That's an exciting development for fans of Ciivl War Spider-Man, but let's just hope it doesn't compound the existing concerns about Peter having too many tech upgrades from Homecoming.

At least they'll give him more of a chance of not being smushed like an actual bug by Thanos.
