3. It Really Requires Homework

Though the film does admirably to bring in some exposition in the first act, thanks to this being ten years in the making, there is a lot going on that requires a fair bit of knowledge of the MCU's lore. For fans - and particularly those who have just done an extensive rewatch in preparation of Infinity War's release - that won't be a problem, but this is a mainstream audience film, and it might feel a little like hard work in the first act to really keep up.

In the end, that partly comes down to a problem with the exposition, which feels like it was treated somewhat like an obligation to be gotten out of the way before the big show really kicked off. It isn't at all fatal, but it just feels slightly non-committal.
