If the rumours are to be believed, not only will we see a new stand alone Batman movie after Man Of Steel 2 comes out in 2018, but there's also a strong chance that Ben Affleck's long negotiations to play the character ahead of Batman Vs Superman indicate that the actor is also being lined up to take over the directing reigns of the franchise from Christopher Nolan. The Argo star has long been suggested as a good choice to follow in Nolan's footsteps, mostly because the two share at least tonal vision, and we would be all but assured that he wouldn't go all Schumacher and ruin Nolan's legacy with something vulgar and over-blown.
