Batman: 10 Worst Casting Decisions

8. Uma Thurman as Dr. Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy in Batman & Robin

uma thurman poison ivy Uma Thurman has portrayed good characters in great films such as in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction but as the villainess Poison Ivy, Thurman's performance is lacking in part due to a terrible script. Thurman does not make the most of her character through her portrayal despite the writing. Due to the poor characterization, the purpose of Thurman's role is questioned as to why the second doctor turned villain in the film is even included. Her threat is minimal but is felt as being forced into becoming a complement to Mr. Freeze's supposed jeopardizing presence. The result is a performance worth forgetting in a film that is hard to dismiss because it is terrible.
