Batman Film Reboot: 6 New Stories For The Dark Knight

batm What makes a great movie? The actors? Yes, most definitely. The characters? Undoubtedly. All of these things are all good and well, but without a story to hold up the characters, actors, and action, the movie is meaningless. Having no story means that all we see are scenes that are just thrown together with no sense of direction whatsoever. Sounds bad, doesn't it? Now that Christopher Nolan's legendary Dark Knight Trilogy is over, there is a need for new stories for Batman movies to follow. Good thing there's a wealth of good - correction - awesome stories that DC has given us. However, sometimes we want something that isn't in the comics - something original. One thing that I personally don't want is a long-winded origin story that every Batman fan knows: The alley, the gunshot, the devastated eight-year-old boy sobbing as he falls to his knees by the bodies of his parents, alone in the dark, after which he vows revenge against the criminals of Gotham and becomes the Batman. Until Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Zero Year comes out, this is the standard origin story for Batman, so if Warner Brothers and DC are going to give us a Batman film which is pre-Zero Year, skip the origin; Or at the very least, give us no more than flashbacks. However, if they're going to do a Batman movie for the New 52, I'm alright to sit through a new, fresh origin of one of the characters I grew up with and that we all love. But we can€™t just pick any Batman story for the next set of films for the Dark Knight. After what Nolan left us with, having saved the much-loved franchise, the next set of Batman films need to be on par with, if not surpass what The Dark Knight Trilogy gave us. SPOILER ALERT: Some of what I say in this article may be considered to be spoilers, therefore, if you still want to know what stories I'm thinking of, I recommend that you just look the titles over. Now, without further ado, here are 6 new stories for The Dark Knight...
