Batman Reboot: 10 Essential Villains And Who Should Play Them

9. Crime Doctor - Ciarán Hinds

ciaran hinds A character not known by many, the Crime Doctor - also known as Matthew Thorne - started out as a physician who treated criminals for money. He utilized an illegal private clinic to do so. He eventually transformed into a sadistic torturer who used surgery and the medical discipline as a whole to carry out his sick methods. He would work great as criminal behind the scenes. Being that he treats criminals, he could be a contact utilized by greater villains if they ever need his assistance in being healed or using torture to get information. How cool would it be to see Batman getting interrogated through torture and having to find a way to get out of it? He€™s also a villain that isn€™t known by many and hasn€™t been used a lot. He€™d be a great addition. It would add a kind of horror aspect to the film. Batman€™s a dark character and a bit of shadiness inducted into the movie would be great. And I think Ciarán Hinds, who has starred in movies such as There Will Be Blood, The Woman in Black Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Munich, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, is a great choice to play him. Also, he€™s played the cruel role before: he portrayed the Devil in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Although, that was a bad film, he did a solid job. Additionally, in the film Amazing Grace, Hinds depicted Sir Banastre Tarleton, someone against abolition during the slave trade in parliament. If you ever watch this film, Hinds gives a remarkable performance; one that I think is underrated. Overall, Hinds has an unnerving look about him which goes great with the Crime Doctor. It€™s not a large part, but he looks as if he could put a lot into it in a short time.
