4. Barbara's Token Gay Sidekick
Easily one of the most annoying and irritating additions to the film is the introduction of a token gay best friend sidekick for Barbara, whose sole occupation is to ask Babs about her sex life, all while she talks about her relationship with Bruce in code (referring to crime-fighting as "yoga").
As if that's not bad enough, he's basically a flamboyant gay stereotype, throwing out sassy remarks like, "And they say the gay scene is complicated", and basically living up to every exaggerated idea people who've never actually met a gay person hold about them.
More than simply dragging the film down, this is potentially quite offensive to a major subset of people, and feels like an extremely tone-deaf creative choice in 2016.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
