Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a movie which has been shrouded in secrecy for some time now, with only an official synopsis and handful of images released by Warner Bros. to keep anxious fans going over the past year or so.

However, as this year's San Diego Comic-Con approaches, the curtain was pulled back on the movie thanks to a feature in Entertainment Weekly.

Along with six new stills and a magazine cover featuring the Trinity assembled, plenty of new story details have now been revealed about Batman v Superman and the DC Cinematic Universe as a whole. It's clear that Warner Bros. has realised that they have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to competing with Marvel Studios, so it's hard to blame them for getting as much big information out there as possible.

That ranges from who the villain will be in Man of Steel 2 to both why and how Batman ends up taking on Superman. The images themselves also brought some very interesting new reveals though.

Here, you will find just ten of the biggest details and spoilers which have been revealed about both this movie and some of the others which are on the way over the next few years. Marvel fanboy, DC fanboy; it really doesn't matter. After reading these, you'll be counting down the days until justice dawns in 2016...

10. Batman And Wonder Woman Know Each Other's Secret Identities

Batman v Superman didn't suffer from as many set photo leaks as Suicide Squad, but one of the most intriguing images to find its way online was Gal Gadot in a dress. It appeared to confirm both that she would be using the Diana Prince identity in this Cinematic Universe, and that her role would consist of more than just a quick appearance in costume as Wonder Woman.

The photo above goes one step further in confirming those theories, but it comes with a very interesting reveal from Ben Affleck.

After the magazine points out that Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince have a chance encounter at a high society function, the actor reveals that: "I love the fact that there was this Thomas Crowne Affair, Bond-y sexy scene that they wrote about two people who are pretending to be two different people who each know the secrets of the other person."

That obviously means the two heroes have history, and it should be very interesting to see how much Batman v Superman ends up delving into that. They must have worked together at some point to know each other's secret identities anyway, making the dynamic between Bruce and Diana one of the movie's most intriguing and exciting elements.
