4. Ben Affleck Received Advice From Christian Bale

Even though Christian Bale repeatedly said he wouldn't do another Batman movie without Christopher Nolan, there were at least some rumblings that he might join Henry Cavill in a Batman v Superman movie. That obviously didn't happen as Warner Bros. instead decided to make the genius decision of casting Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader (plus, trying to fit Nolan's realistic take on the character into Snyder's stylised world would have been a real headache, especially after the way The Dark Knight Rises ended). Don't go thinking that there's any animosity between the two actors though as Affleck revealed a conversation he had with Bale when their paths crossed in a costume store after he was cast in the role. After complimenting the Welsh actor's work with the character, Affleck was given one very memorable piece of advice by his predecessor. Was it about the voice? Which comics to read? How to deal with fans? The best way to channel The Batman's rage? Not quite. "Make sure you can piss in that suit," was the piece of wisdom bequeathed on Affleck by Bale, but it appears he took it to heart as Snyder later confirmed that they did indeed decide to build a zipper into the Batsuit to avoid having to remove the whole thing should Ben decide he needed a bathroom break!
