Batman V Superman - General Zod Has Flippers For Hands?

Michael Shannon reveals strange character change for his corpse in Man of Steel sequel.

Just when you thought Michael Shannon reprising the corpse of Man Of Steel's deceased villain General Zod in Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice was about as strange as things could get, now you have to contend with this... Speaking to Vulture this week, the Academy Award nominated actor has revealed that he wore flippers on his hands during the shooting of the sequel, a peculiar character change that has no basis of substance from the history of DC Comics. The actor said specifically;

€œI was in my costume, and I couldn€™t use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands. So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn€™t open the door, and I could hear Zack being like, €˜Where€™s Shannon? Where the f**k is he?€™ and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, €˜Let me out of here!€™€
Just, what does he mean by flippers for hands? Of course the big fan theory is that Zod's surprise reprisal in Batman vs Superman is to bring about the introduction of the famous Superman villain Doomsday but flippers for hands? Where does that come into play? It's a puzzler, for sure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MrfE8jOCeQ Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice is due for release March 25th, 2016, which now we are well into August 2015, doesn't feel too far away. Not that you should get too excited... our very own film editor Alex Leadbeater did tell you this week it's going to suck and really, not to get your hopes up... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MrfE8jOCeQ
