5. Gaston’s Socks
One of the biggest scenes that was noticeably missing from the new movie is Gaston’s proposal. In the animated film, Gaston and LeFou go so far as to set up an entire wedding ceremony and reception in Belle’s backyard, complete with a giant cake, a big brass band, Gaston’s fangirls, and a man of the cloth.
He barges into her house to propose and plops his muddy boots right on top of one of her open books (that's a big Belle no-no) before kicking them off and presenting his stinky feet to her like a peacocking... peacock.
While this exact scene didn’t happen in the movie, Gaston did go to her house and had the opportunity to show Belle his big toe popping through a hole, and didn’t take it. Once can only imagine why.
