Besson to quit directing

lbesson4.jpgFrench filmmaker Luc Besson best known for directing Leon and The Fifth Element has stated his wish to retire from directing once his next feature Arthur and The Minimoys is complete. He claims he wishes to help youths in poverty in the inner cities of his hometown in Paris. More info from Associated Press... "I want to take a little care of my fellow citizens. I want to take a little care of my planet. I want to act in favor of the inner cities, in favor of the environment. I want to do lots of things," he said. You know I have a funny feeling we will see Besson directing again before too long. He is only 47, a little young to claim retirement and I wouldn't be suprised if we see him helming another feature before the end of this decade. source - associated press, coming soon
