Black Panther: 11 Implications For Infinity War

Things are about to get interesting.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has an amusing trend of not setting up their future movies as persuasively as you might expect: remember when everyone thought Avengers: Age of Ultron would create a huge schism between the Avengers and kick-start the events of Captain America: Civil War? Nope. Instead, it ended on an oddly congenial note that just about nobody expected.

While Black Panther follows that tradition by not explicitly setting up Avengers: Infinity War in a totally palpable and obvious way, it's still easy to draw some convincing conclusions from what transpires in Ryan Coogler's superhero epic.

What does Black Panther infer about the arrival of Thanos (Josh Brolin), his intentions with Wakanda, the state of the Avengers and the future of Earth?

There are some undeniably tantalising teases throughout the film, and though it remains to be seen how aggressively they'll be capitalised on in Infinity War, it's safe to say that Black Panther's done some damn fine low-key table-setting regardless. Get hype...
