Blair Witch 3 Might Be Shooting Now

Possibly from the director of You're Next.

Blair Witch Project While Bloody Disgusting recently ran an 'exclusive' that the new Ring movie was going to be a prequel and ended up getting it all wrong, I can only imagine that would make them more careful. As such, now that they're reporting another scoop, I suppose that they've probably vetted it thoroughly. The core of their report is that another Blair Witch film is in production now, flying under the radar. They don't claim to know if it's a sequel, some kind of spin-off or even a remake of some kind, just that it exists. Where things get a little fuzzier is when they start to suppose what this film might be. They wonder if it might actually be the top-secret-ish new film from Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett, director and writer of The Guest and You're Next. That picture, with the (working?) title of The Woods is shooting now too, and seems to be about Blair Witch-type happenings. The level of secrecy around Wingard's film has only encouraged Bloody Disgusting to speculate. I don't know. But I am impressed that a new Blair Witch film has gotten as far as production with nobody knowing about it; I would have been blown away if it had gotten as far as release while staying off-radar, like some sort of twisted, wiccan Beyonce. I'll let you know what the score is once more information comes to light. For now, let's just assume there are two, different interesting horror films coming down the pike, one from Wingard, and the other in the Blair Witch family.
