Brian Cox to be CGI in Wolverine movie?

stryker.jpgBrian Cox was on the Jonathan Ross show here in the U.K. last night where he claimed that his role in the Wolverine prequel is set to be CGI, in the same vein as Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart in the flashback scene in X-Men 3. You remember it right, it was quite early on and was disturbingly creepy? This is what Cox said on the show... 'it's set seventeen years ago, which is fine for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine doesn't age but for me, I'm thinking they could what they did with Patrick and Ian for the start of the third one. I know my character is in it, they've asked me to be in it but that was a while ago now, it's completely stalled so no start date as yet.' It's good news that Cox will be in the movie but I'm not sure how much I could stomach that "anti-aging" CGI for more than five minutes. It just didn't look right on McKellan and Stewart and would be too distracting for a feature length running time. Maybe casting someone younger might have been the best choice, which I understand would be a shame because Cox was superb as Stryker but the right choice of actor who could play off Hugh Jackman would have been fine. Hope this movie stays on course and doesn't stay "stalled" for too long. source - aintitcoolnews
