Bunny Lake goes missing!

2h6u8lk.jpgReese Witherspoon, who was set to star in the movie Bunny Lake is Missing.... ironically, has actually gone missing. The actress who was also the flick's producer, has left the movie just five weeks before production was set to begin. Variety say director Joe Carnahan is pissed, and he is frantically searching for a replacement actress but in all likelihood, the production is going to have to be pushed back. The film which is basically Fightplan without the aeroplane, follows the story of a mother who reports that her daughter Bunny Lake has gone missing but when the police find no evidence she ever existed, they begin to suspect the women has gone mad. It's a remake of a 1965 British movie with Lawrence Olivier. It's all very strange because Witherspoon has been attached to this project for three years now and she's stuck by it through thick and thin as different directors kept jumping aboard the project, only to drop out weeks later. Now that it was just about to be made, by a very good director no less.... she takes her bags and goes home. Very strange. The last thing Carnahan needs is this movie to be delayed, as he has a very busy schedule over the next 18 month with movies like White Jazz ready to bring production sometime this year. source - variety
