Captain America: Civil War - 8 Characters It Will Change Your Opinion Of

You'll never look at them the same way again.

Captain America: Civil War will be a pivotal moment in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The huge event will pit two teams of former allies against each other, as they squabble against the backdrop of the implementation of the Sokovia Accords - a legislative bill put into place after the destruction caused in Sokovia in the battle against Ultron - which will seek greater control and greater accountability for superheroes in the field. The titular Captain America will lead the anti-legislation side, while Iron Man will lead the pros, meaning the team we have come to know as the Avengers will cease to exist - at least temporarily anyway. With characters having to choose a side - or at least expressing an opinion on the matter - and mixing it on the battlefield with fellow heroes, audiences will see a side to a number of them that they've never seen before. But which of those characters will be so different that you'll think of them differently forever more?

Honourable Mention: Nick Fury

Nick Fury has been portrayed as the catalyst for the evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. He's been involved with pretty much everything that's gone on in the franchise to date and is responsible for the coming together of the Avengers themselves - therefore, he is notable by his absence from Captain America: Civil War. Samuel L. Jackson won't be appearing in the Phase Three opener, meaning Fury has no input when it comes to the events that will go down in it. The Fury we have come to know would surely be right in the thick of it, so you have to wonder exactly what is going on in the character's mind to have absolutely nothing to do with the biggest superhuman conflict in the MCU to date.
