Captain America: Civil War - 8 Ways It Could Set Up The Infinity War

Could the two events really be connected?

2016 will play host to one of the biggest comic book movie events in history in the form of Captain America: Civil War. The movie will see Captain America and Iron Man forming two opposing teams of heroes and battling over their contrasting views on the Sokovia Accords - the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Superhuman Registration Act. It's going to be a huge scale spectacle, but it's very much grounded in terms of its location - that of Earth - but Captain America actor Chris Evans stated that it will actually lay the foundations for the events in 2018 and 2019's Avengers: Infinity War movies. He said this to MTV:
Captain America: Civil War is the jump-off into The Avengers: The Infinity War. Civil War is going to be the set-up for the real battle. So yeah, there are a lot of people - a lot of people in Cap 3.
How is this possible? At the moment, there is very little to connect anything on MCU Earth to the universe-threatening events that will take place in the third and fourth Avengers movies.

8. Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch AKA Wanda Maximoff has already demonstrated some of her awesome abilities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As well as being able to fire powerful energy blasts and move objects with her mind, she also gave the Avengers horrifying visions - including potential visions of their futures - prior to joining up with them. In Captain America: Civil War, now that she is allied with them (well, she will be allied with some of them at least, given that we don't yet know which team she will be on), could she use those powers for more productive purposes, such as looking into the future to give the Avengers a heads-up about upcoming events? If she could hone her powers to do this - which doesn't seem like too much of a stretch - she could warn her fellow heroes about the terrifying coming of Thanos. It seems like that could be a good way to link this movie to the Infinity War.
