Captain America: Civil War - Another Superhero Face-Off Is Confirmed

These battles keep getting juicier!

Spoilers ahead from the off-set guys... Over the past few weeks information's been leaking about individual match-ups that'll occur over the course of Captain America: Civil War. The footage exhibited at D23 foretold of a Black Widow/Hawkeye situation, and last week we learned that Captain America and Spider-Man will probably be throwing down. Now Heroic Hollywood are reporting another brawl, describing it as "one for the ages". It'll see Captain America and Iron Man face-off, but with a little addition. Bucky "The Winter Solider" Barnes will also be in the mix, fighting on Cap's side.

Hearing that Captain America and Iron Man are going to do battle isn't entirely unexpected, but Bucky's presence imbues the set-piece with a pretty dynamic twist. The fight sounds like it's going to be a major beat in the movie, maybe even the climax, so to have the odds stacked so severely against Iron Man's pretty ballsy. It could be refreshingly intimate and revealing though, especially as Iron Man and Captain America represent the two schools of thought responsible for the Civil War, and are of course former comrades in arms. Even in battle, ragging on your friend has got to take some sort of psychological tole, right? We can only speculate how this thing is going to play out, but a betting man's got to sink his chips on the genetically modified super-soldiers. Iron Man's strong (he contended with Hulk in Age of Ultron), but I'm not sure even he's got the chops to handle these two. How do you guys see this one unfolding? Any theories on how Iron Man might level the odds? Let us know in the comments below. Captain America: Civil War is released in the UK on 29th April 2016, before following a week later in the US on 6th May.
