Captain America: Civil War Is Going To Be All This Avengers' Fault

Looks like Scarlet Witch and Cap will be responsible for the ol' Superhero Registration Act.

Yesterday we got our first glimpse of Spider-Man in action, and now Heroic Hollywood are reporting we know what incident will kick-start the events of Captain America: Civil War. There are SPOILERS ahead, guys. Civil War pivots around the introduction of the Superhero Registration Act, which insists all superheroes must be unmasked, approved and trained by the government before they can continue doing their thing. This causes a rift among The Avengers, with one faction headed by Captain America and the other Tony Stark. The Act is enforced on the back of a global catastrophe, and we now now how that might play out. It appears that Cap and the Scarlet Witch will be responsible for a rake of civilian deaths in the film's opening, whilst trying to apprehend Crossbones (Frank Grillo). Cap instructs the Witch to hover Crossbones above the ground, but the villain is able to self-detonate a raft of explosives strapped to his midriff, taking down a nearby building and its occupants. This also ties into some stuff we heard from Grillo earlier in the week, namely that he's not in the movie for long.

Pretty simple, and pointedly tragic. Given his boy-scout outlook, Cap's obviously a great guy to have on ground level for such a horrible accident, and The Scarlet Witch isn't short of demons thanks to Age of Ultron; so this should work to further complicate both character's nicely. There's a lot more work to be done, but this sounds like a striking jumping-off point.
