Captain America: Civil War - See First Clip And A Bit More Spider-Man

Who says Monday is the worst day of the week?

It begins.

With just a few weeks to go until Captain America: Civil War hits theatres worldwide and breaks the box office, the movie clips start rolling in, and it's safe to say that the first of bunch - which was unveiled during last night's MTV Movie Awards - pretty much sells the movie in under a minute.

The clip in question shows three Avengers and future members of Team Cap - Captain America himself (Chris Evans), the Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) - taking on a group of military goons during what appears to be a rescue operation of sorts. Check it out below:

First things first: the action glimpsed in this clip is awesome; the precision with which Steve Rogers uses his shield is brilliantly cinematic, whilst the team dynamic - the way all three members of the Avengers use their powers to enhance one another - is genius. Scarlet Witch lifting Captain America up into the air and straight through a window? Amazing!

That said, the CGI does look a bit shoddy in places, which seems to be a common occurrence in Marvel Cinematic Universe films of late. The Falcon's flying also never looks quite "right" as far as I'm concerned - there's something awkward about the animation and the same goes here.

Still, these are minor quibbles: this clip sets a really high bar. If that wasn't quite enough to whet your appetite, though, there's more.Fans have also been afforded a new look at Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the form of a new - and very Japanese - international teaser for the film; he can be glimpsed on foot towards the end of the teaser (which runs at a mere 15 seconds) as the two enemy factions run towards one another.

It's a tiny look, but it does give us a nice moment of Spidey goodness - not to mention a little window into the film's big battle scene, which we now know will involve Spider-Man in more than just a cameo experience; he's getting properly stuck in.

Given all this new footage and what the early reviews have had to say about Civil War (that it's great), I couldn't be more psyched to see the film. Hopefully it will make up for Batman V Superman's failings as a superhero fight flick and deliver the experience that we're all waiting for.

Captain America: Civil War is out in cinemas on April 29, 2016
