Captain Marvel: 22 WTF Moments

21. We Mustn't Interfere With The Aliens (But Let's Bomb Them)

Captain Marvel Jude Law

The film opens with a mission by the Kree warriors - decked out like laser tag players and led by Jude Law with lovely eyes and a hairstyle so immaculately made to look messy that it must have taken hours - on the trail of one of their own double agents. His energy signature leads them to an alien planet where he has apparently been uncovered by the evil Skrull, risking his information being compromised.

The planet is neither a Kree world or a Skrull one - though the implication is that the latter have secretly invaded it - and it is populated by a third species of peaceful aliens. It is, according to Jude Law, important not to interfere with their lives at all, so the ground team don't interact with them. This makes lots of sense, apart from when it's then revealed that Ronan and his fellow Accusers will be bombing the planet as a diversion.

Isn't bombing a form of interfering? Even if they're bombing a Skrull area, the Skrull are embedded SECRETLY - that's their precise MO - so there'll be innocent collateral damage either way.
