Captain Marvel Reviews: 11 Early Reactions You Must See

10. The Effects Work Exceptionally Well

Unlike Star Wars' well-publicised issues with de-aging sequences, Marvel have so far enjoyed success with the technology. Tony Stark in Civil War and Hank Pym in Iron Man were both flawlessly realised and the trailers for Captain Marvel seemed to suggest that they'd managed it again with Samuel L Jackson's 90s Nick Fury.

And it seems that even more time spent with Fury doesn't show the seams or detract from how impressive the effects work is. Let's just hope they don't take it too far as licence to revive dead actors needlessly.

Even the few slightly negative reviews, like Gregory Ellwood from The Playlist's, says the effects work behind Captain Marvel's powers is even more impressive than shown in the trailers.
