Carrey and Diaz reunion is over

164048__diazcarrey_l.jpgIt seems that script problems have led to the departure of Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz from the movie A Little Game Without Consequence. The film was to mark the first time they have starred together since all the way back in 1994 with The Mask. Director Gabriele Muccino has also left the project. It's believed that the three were led to believe the movie was something it wasn't. They were expecting a dark take on the movie but the Focus Features Studio wanted a commerically friendly one. Clever move.... you now have no director and have lost two a-list stars. Diaz and Carrey in a movie together is would generate commerical interest, no matter what the subject matter was. source - the hollywood reporter, cinema blend
