Casey Affleck has joined Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi movie Interstellar.
The actor himself revealed the news to Elle Magazine;
“I’ve got a movie coming out at Thanksgiving called ‘Out Of The Furnace,’ and I’m going to work on a Chris Nolan movie in the fall.”
Affleck, who will be working with Nolan for the first time, joins the ever-growing cast of amazing talent that already includes fellow newcomers Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain and Bill Irwin, and former Nolan cast-members Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine.
Scribed by Chris’ screenwriting brother Jonathan Nolan (Memento, The Prestige, The Dark Knight) years ago but only recent taking the director’s interest, the movie tells the story of a group of explorers who go through a wormhole and will deal with time travel and alternate dimensions. Or as it has been put officially;
The film will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding.
Originally based on scientific theories by Caltech physicist and relativity expert Kip S. Thorne (who is executive producing), the movie has changed gears from what Jonathan original wrote as Chris Nolan boarded with his own original ideas and it’s now a mixture of two ideas.
Interstellar is due to hit theatres on November 7th, 2014 and will film later this fall.
