Although there are plenty of amazing anime widely available for people to watch, there's one that always seems to be atop of everyone's best of all time list. Despite being released more than a decade ago, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood has withstood the test as time and solidified itself as show every fan must watch.

Following the thrilling journey of the alchemy-wielding protagonists, Edward and Alphonse Elric, as they go in search of the legendary Philosopher's Stone in a bid to regain they bodies they sacrificed, the 64-episode show is a fantasy epic combined with a political drama. That might sound strange, but ask any fan of the series and they'll stand firmly by it.

As one of the most successful shonen of all time, you'd think that it would be prime material for a live action adaptation. We did get a version in 2017, but it didn't quite hit the way that many fans hoped. However, with shows like Attack on Titan and Cowboy Bebop getting Hollywood treatment, it only seems like a matter of time before a studio purchases the rights to bring a new and improved version to the big screen.

Although that seems like an exciting prospect, the casting would need to perfect for these iconic characters. That's why we've come up with a possible dream cast for this anime epic.

Let's begin...

21. Winry Rockbell - Erin Moriarty

As a close friend of the Elric brothers, an automail mechanic and Edward's eventual love interest, Winry Rockbell is a character who has a major role on the show. It's made clear from the very beginning of the show that when Elric brothers are getting into trouble around Amestris, she's the one of the few people who can bring them back down to earth. She's tough and strong, but also someone who cares deeply about the brothers.

There were a lot of impressive performances in Amazon Studio's Garth Ennis comic book adaptation, The Boys, but Erin Moriarty', who played Starlight in the show, was a bit of a surprise. She did great in a lot of her scenes, showing that she could be believably fierce when challenged, yet king and loving when it's called for. Those are the exact qualities of an actress playing Winry.

While she's not going to be battling homunculi or shooting a particularly dangerous looking Ishvalan with a scar on his head, Winry is no walkover and Moriarty is the perfect choice to showcase that.
