Casting The Fantastic Four In The MCU

6. Doctor Doom - Adam Driver

The most famous Fantastic Four villain, Victor Von Doom is the obvious starting point for the family in the MCU. A rival of Reed Richards, Doom is a man blessed with knowledge and skill in both science and the mystic arts, so the actor needs to be able to convey great intelligence with an otherworldliness, along with the threat a big bad needs to pose.

While the MCU has already wasted one perfect choice for the character in Mads Mikkelsen, there is another in the form of Adam Driver. No stranger to portraying a masked villain, Driver could be brilliant if he spends all of the time with his face hidden, but bring new layers by showing him out of the mask too.

Not only is he physically imposing, but he's capable of playing a truly complex villain who does horrendous things while maintaining a belief that he's doing what's best. Driver has shown he can do the powerful, evil villain within the Disney machine, while roles in the likes of Silence and Paterson show another side to the actor and display his full emotional range, which would work for the arrogant villain's softer side that he hides away.
