Clooney to star opposite Robert De Niro in 36

10m1.jpgSince this site started, George Clooney has signed up for four projects and was heavily rumored for another. He is by far the most prolific actor/director spoken about on this site. Now, you can add one more movie to the list. This time he has joined the cast of Marc Forster's remake of the French cop movie 36 Quai des Orfevres, which he has shortened to be titled simply 36. Already cast in the movie is veteran Robert De Niro. The original French film released in 2004 starred Gerald Depardieu and Daniel Auteuil as plain-clothes detectives in Paris on a quest to solve the case of a series of armoured car robberies. A promotion in the force goes to whichever catches the cluprits. De Niro vs. Clooney as two cops? Yeah sure it could work. I haven't seen the original but I'm guessing that the battle between the two cops gets quite dirty and out of control which should make this movie fun. Clooney again proves to be one of the smartest men in Hollywood, this is a great career choice. source - mtv, coming soon
