The DC Extended Universe has always been a nickname for Warner Bros' collection of DC movies, but it caught on and so the studio clearly wasn't in a rush to come up with their own title for their movie world.

Well, at Comic-Con they finally settled on a new brand name for the cinematic universe: World of DC. Sure, it doesn't roll off the tongue quite as easily as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it's still neat to see these movies finally placed under an official umbrella with an indisputable title.

The announcement was surprisingly low-key, so it may take fans a little while to adjust to the change, but you can certainly expect an elaborate, Marvel-style World of DC logo to appear before every new Warner Bros. DC superhero movie.
