Creepy Final Joker Trailer Revealed

So far, the marketing campaign for Todd Phillips' upcoming Joker stand-alone has been great. It's mostly gone heavy on Joaquin Phoenix's performance rather than attempting to insist on comics relevance and the result has been a compelling portrait of a man transformed into a monster. And that's exactly why we're all here for it.

Phoenix has looked exceptional as the iconic character ever since the first official look at him, but we've mostly missed out on the rest of the cast so far - somewhat consciously - so the chance to see more footage before release was always going to be hyped. Particularly when that cast includes the likes of Robert DeNiro.

And now, the second trailer for the R-rated comic book movie has landed and it's another doozy. Here's the teaser...

Once more, we're getting just the right amount of mythology building for Joker, we get him asking to be titled it and we get only a bubbling of his turn to crime, while the film flirts with Arthur Dent's descent into madness. It's a truly great approach and it's honestly difficult not to get very very hyped here.
