Daniel Craig Will Only Do Another Bond Movie "For The Money"

There's been endless speculation about who's going to play the next James Bond. Idris Elba? Damien Lewis? Tom Hardy? Could be any of them (but should be the latter). But there's a bigger question surrounding the man behind the 007 codename as Spectre approaches - will Daniel Craig be back for a fifth film? Talk has jumped back and forth over the past few months (I threw my own take out there a few weeks back), but now we've got some pretty decisive words from the man himself. In an brutally frank interview with Time Out, Craig had a few choice quotes about his future as Bond:

" now? I€™d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That€™s fine. I€™m over it at the moment. We€™re done. All I want to do is move on." "For at least a year or two, I just don€™t want to think about it." "If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money."

Well, those leave little room for interpretation, don't they? The interview's full of insight on the production of Spectre, but this is by far the most intriguing element - it sounds likely a recast could be round the corner. Spectre will have been an utterly gruelling experience - the film only started filming late last year and went on for a whopping seven months (and you can bet Craig will have had to be present for pretty much all of that), which only allows for a slight respite before the promotion of the release kicks into gear. If you'd been doing long hours on a high-pressure job for the past ten months (even if it is a very expensive version of playing spies), you'd probably feel the same (especially if you're being asked the question every five minutes). So this could be just the words of someone desperate for some overdue holiday, although if Craig's only motivation for the next would be money, maybe it is best he stops. Spectre is in UK cinemas from 26th October and US cinemas from November 6th.
