Danny Boyle Will Put Michael Fassbender In TRANCES

Michael Fassbender has begun talks to star in Danny Boyle's next film Trances, an 'edgy art-heist thriller' that is a remake of a Brit t.v. film of the same named that aired in 2001. The Hollywood Reporter have the plot;
An assistant at an auction house masterminds the heist and teams up with a gang of thieves, but suffers a blow to the head and wakes up with amnesia. He is the only one who knows where the painting€™s location is and after his continued failure to remember, the gang begins to suspect duplicity on his part and hire a female hypnotist to get into his brain.
Fassbender would play the gang leader for the movie and a London shoot is pencilled in for September before Boyle works on the Summer Olympics next summer. He would then return to Trances where he will complete pre-production work for a release around March 2013 time. From the sounds of things, Boyle's modestly budgeted movie is a straight-up heist genre effort, a less ambitious challenge than say his last three films 127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire or Sunshine and is him basically having fun in his home country before his Olympics gig, which sounds just dandy to us. Boyle and producing partner Christian Colson have entered distribution talks to reunite with Fox Searchlight and Pathe. Michael Fassbender's (Inglourious Basterds, Centurion) Jam-packed Forthcoming Filmography; 2011 X-Men: First Class (June 1st release, as Magneto, for director Matt Vaughn) 2011 A Dangerous Method (release tba, as Carl Jung in film directed by David Cronenberg) 2011 Shame (release tba, a reunion with Hunger director Steve McQueen) 2012 Prometheus (currently filming - release June 2012, playing the android David in Ridley Scott's possible Alien prequel) 2012 Good Vibrations (filming in August, a biopic of Belfast music legend Terri Hooley) 2013 Trances (filming in September, edgy art heist thriller from Danny Boyle, coming March 2013).
