"Dark Knight" Producer Speaks

batman-begins-3.jpgCharles Roven, the producer for Batman Begins has spoken about The Dark Knight and on which cast members are likely to return for the sequel. Here is what he said to say, taken from comingsoon... "We are hoping, depending upon everyone's schedule and other aspects of what it is they want to do with their careers, that we're going to get most if not all of them who are alive back" I would expect Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine to return for sure, but i'm not so sure on Katie Holmes. She was definitely the weak link in the movie, both for her acting and for the poorly written character she was playing. I don't think she is needed in the sequel as her character arc finished in the first movie, and her attorney role in the movie will probably be taken over by Harvey Dent. I honestly can't see why she should return, unless she is to be killed off by the Joker or something. Does anyone think she should return for the sequel and what about Cillian Murphy as the Scarecrow? He wasn't killed off in the last movie, so is he primed to return to the franchise? source - comingsoon
