The Dark Knight Rises: 5 Thing You Might Have Missed

We run through five things we've learned from the most recent rounds of DKR marketing...

In my recent absence from the country, I have had to sit idly by as Dark Knight Rises marketing has exploded on a fairly regular basis. From Mountain Dew's "Dew Gotham" campaign to more tv spots with new footage in each than any other movie I can think of, Warner Brothers is making it's final push towards the films July 20th release date. So now I'm back... And it's time to start making some final Bat-Assesments... I won't bore you with a full recap of everything that's been going on because I think very highly of my readers and assume you kept on top of this stuff even while I'm away. However there have been several new developments that I just can't ignore...

1. Catwoman Does Not Steal The Batpod

It is in fact given to her by Batman himself. According to the new tv-spot, Batman even tries to help her learn how to drive it (much to his chagrin it seems, since she just goes ahead and revs it up like a new teenage woman driver.)

2. John Blake Is Respected By Bruce Wayne In More Ways Than One

Found on a page of a yet to be released Batman scrapbook, John Blake's bio reads a lot like Batman's (or Robin's wink wink.) He is an orphan who has made it his life-long goal to stomp out crime in Gotham. Batman sees a lot of himself in Blake for obvious reasons and this new information has become the strongest argument for Robin to appear in Rises yet.

3. Bane Knows Bruce Wayne And Batman Are The Same Person

In one of the many new pieces of footage, Bane walks towards Batman in what appears to be one of several €œfinal€ showdowns in the film. As Bane approaches he utters one of the most chilling statements yet... €œMr. Wayne.€ Bane just keeps getting more and more horrifying! Click next to read the second part of this countdown...
